I'm alive. Sort of. Well, more alive than not. Just having some computer issues, so while I work them out, I beg your indulgence, and ask you to recommend a book, a song and a movie for me that I may not have read, heard or seen. I can always use new shit to check out.
For those of you who are going to say Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I have already seen it (under protest), and didn't find it too bad. So save it, I'm not reading the book. I have a prejudicial thing against adults reading books meant for kids.

One of the most iconic women in film right there. The Bride, Beatrix Kiddo. Without you and Quentin, she never would have existed, and if you can be said to have a legacy set by your performances, I'd say that she's at or damn near the top of your list. A role model of a tough, uncompromising hero, fuck heroine, it's a kind of slightly demeaning word at it's core.
The Bride is a hero, and you are the Bride. What's that make you, sword-slinger?
Happy Birthday. I hope it was a good one, and I hope that you got big fucking hugs from your kids at the start and at the end.
